Quilt Study, 2012
Fine Craft & Collaborative Fiber Art
Chains studied quilting and fine craft with the Sunbeam Sewing Circle of the Blenheim Mennonite Church, founded in 1908. In collaboration, Chains and Sunbeam produced a series of quilts using deadstock and headed-for-landfill fabrics. Living and working together in Waterloo County, Ontario, each quilt was sewn by hand without the use of machinery or electricity. The collection was photographed by Luis Mora and exhibited online.
